Nordic Tipis
Inspired by the Sami Kata, our large Nordic Tipis provide renters with a stunning alternative to any high-end handmade artisan marquee. Traditional Scandinavian design isn’t lost due to the modernization of our tents. It is magnified! The beautiful off-white canvas and wood structure creates a luxuriously intimate, but spacious environment. Imported from Sweden, these Tipis have a diameter of thirty feet and stand approximately twenty-six feet tall. You can bet what is usually forgotten will become a lasting first impression!
The Details
Tipi Canvas
Our hand crafted, off-white Tipi canvas is beautiful, durable, and built to protect. Our exclusive bespoke fabric was developed to meet worldwide fire-retardant regulations and is NFPA 701 certified. Unlike most Marquees and Sailcloth tents, our canvas is sewn together as one piece to help prevent the intrusion of any precipitation.
Spruce Structure
Each Tipi structure is built from one hundred-year-old, late maturing Spruce trees found in the northern forests of Scandinavia. This special type of Spruce, combined with its unique growing conditions, produces a strong lightweight Tipi pole. Each Tipi is a self-supporting structure that ensures structural strength by redundancy.
Simply Versatile
Our Tipis provide customers the ability to increase canvas covered space and are not limited to one floor plan. A conventional Tipi look is easily achieved when all sides are down. What you won’t find in a clear span marquee is the ability to have one or more of the sides pitched. Sometimes referred to as the Witches Hat, our Tipis have the option of having all of the sides raised. This unique feature allows us the ability to link one Tipi to another.
Weather Ready
Lux Tipis are self-supporting structures designed to keep you safe and dry. Engineered to withstand up to sixty mile-per-hour winds, our tents can be deployed almost anywhere, including the beach! Laboratory testing was executed by Structural Engineers to provide precise calculations on the strength and flexibility of our rented tents. Water penetrating tests are performed on each canvas, ensuring precipitation is not absorbed, but repelled keeping everything that is covered dry.
